Schools around the world

Join our wiki in this new adventure to show “Schools around the world“. Students through exchanges and discussions will learn about different schools worldwide.

The idea is to create a visual school network in order to sustain an on-going dialogue about how schools differ worldwide. Students must prepare a voicethread, youtube video or simply add pictures giving and sharing all the information they require relevant for other students to know about their school. The rest of the participants can ask questions about their school.

You can check school calendars around the world thanks to the wonderful work done by Tom Robb.

Teachers interested in joining this project please add yourself to the following chart: Participating Schools.

By the end of this project student will have:

* learned about the educational system in several countries
* learned different cultures worldwide
* introduced themselves to the participants
* added themselves to the Schools around the world map
* gotten familiar with the features on our wiki
* gotten familiar with voicethread and you tube

  1. This is such a great idea! I can’t wait to see the projects and classrooms around the world. Sending out a call for participants on Twitter now 🙂

  2. My students had a lot of fun creating the videos. I am still waiting for another group to finish the video on kindergarten. Thank your for sending a Tweet!! There are really nice comments on the wiki.
    Let´s all learn about different schools around the world 🙂

  3. Great project! I’m going to pass it on to relevant teachers at my school on Monday. Thanks.

    By the way, you can use vodpod to embed voicethread in wordpress blogs.
