Finally I was able to add a widget to WordPress. I added Meebo to my sidebar. Here are the instructions on how to do the same in your blog.

  1. Go to You need to create your own Meebo widget. This is done in  3 simple steps. Just follow the directions.
  2. Copy the code
  3. In your blog go to Presentation click Sidebar Widgets.
  4. Scroll down to where it says Available Widgets at the bottom of the page.
  5. There is a widget called Meebo.Drag it to your sidebar in the same page.
  6. Click the little icon on the right of Meebo widget.
  7. Enter your code.
  8. Close the window and don´t forget to save it!!

I hope that from now on we can leave messages in all our blogs.

  1. Dear Jennifer, what a find! Meebo looks a lot like ” My chingo” , I´ll try to see if that one can also be placed on the sidebar.
    Thanks for sharing, 😉

  2. That’s cool! You can see something like it on Darren Kuropatwa’s class blog at His students seem to use it a lot.

  3. Hi Jennifer,

It’s always helpful when others post instructions on how to do things on weblogs. Thanks for posting your instructions on how to add a widget to WordPress.

    Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the instructions. They are really great – probably much clearer than mine! Great that people are sharing knowledge about their ‘finds’! 🙂
